Well, there is so much to talk about with what has happened and what is coming up, so hope your sitting comfortably.
Firstly let’s start with what we all know and love, CLIMBING HOLDS! We have seen another set of holds land in various colours, all of which have already been allocated new homes all over the centre. This was such an exciting day for our route setters, almost like an early Christmas present (we know, it’s still a little early to be chatting about Christmas, but just you wait…).
WARNING SPOILERS BELOW!
For those not wanting to see any BETA at all please skip past this next video. But for those who don’t really give a monkeys, please check out this compilation of problems on the orange circuit, brought to you by the one and only Will Cox! Hope this helps those who were sat scratching their heads at some of the creative blocs that have been set in the last few weeks
The recent Bloctoberfest sponsored climb raised a wonderful £110.00 for the charity Climbers Against Cancer! Well done and thank you to all those who got involved in the climb and for your continued support for the charity.
We are now selling CAC t-shirts and beanies on site to keep helping where we can, so please feel free to have a browse when you’re next in the centre.
Winter is coming…
Our Winter Bouldering League is set to begin this December the 2nd. And with the new festive coloured holds not long landing we’re sure to get you all in the Christmas spirit. We are currently in the process of sorting out all the small details so be sure to follow us on Facebook to keep up to date.
Get ready for our Christmas event, set to happen on the 16th of December! We’ll be getting out the tinsel and writing our letters to Santa early in preparation for some little treats for you.
For those who attended last year’s 12 days of Christmas event, we have decided to bring back the swinging rings to the bouldering area, with some further additions for those wanting an extra challenge.
For the kids (and big kids) we are running an advent esc event, with a collection of presents for them to get hold of, along with opening up the ever-popular craft corner where they can pop their decorations on our Redpoint Christmas tree.
Come 6pm we will be stopping climbing as usual but will be conducting a Christmas themed quiz up in Boof’s cafe, with food and beverages being served throughout the night.
