If you're new to climbing - welcome!

We think it's the best sport in the world and anyone can take part.

Adults find it a great alternative to the gym and kids are just natural climbers. It's a super, fun and exciting way to get some exercise.

At Redpoint we have hundreds of different colour-coded climbs for all levels of climber up to 14m high which are climbed with a safety rope.

We also have an extensive bouldering area that is up to 4.5m high protected by safety matting.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get started?

If you have friend who is an experienced climber they can bring you. If not, you can book a private lesson or join one of our Taster, or Learn to Climb courses. Our instructors will guide you through your first experience of rock climbing and let you know where to go from there.

Do I need to book?

Yes, if you’re new to climbing and looking to book an instructor or join one of our Taster or Learn to Climb courses you need to book and pay in advance.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothing that allows freedom of movement. It’s also a good idea to have an extra layer for wearing when you’re not climbing. If you wear rings we have to ask you to take them off if possible. If not we will have to tape over them. We provide climbing shoes for you.

I'm scared of heights!

We have lots of people who say this. It is a very natural feeling. Your instructor will take things slowly and you will be amazed at what you can do by the end of your session.

I'm on my own, what are my options?

We have regular group Taster or Learn to Climb courses. They are a great way to get started and to meet others who also need a climbing partner.
